Gerard Butler’s best action thriller is about to be cut from free streaming. Released in 2018, the film might not be as intense as 300, or as over-the-top as Olympus Has Fallen, but it’s easily one of his best. The film blends the intense shootouts of Sicario with the cat-and-mouse game of Hell or High Water and, more accurately, Michael Mann’s Heat. After a month on free streaming, Gerard Butler’s action thriller is departing in the next 24 hours, so this is your last chance to watch it for free.

Den of Thieves was added to Tubi on Oct. 1, and its time on free streaming is coming to an end. The moment it was added to the platform, it was also added to Tubi’s Leaving Soon page. While Tubi doesn’t give exact dates for when its movies leave. However, ad-supported free streaming sites like Tubi and Pluto TV operate on one-month contracts. So, through Sherlock Holmes-level deductive reasoning, Den of Thieves will be removed from Tubi on Nov. 1. Reliable streaming glossaries like JustWatch also list Den of Thieves as leaving Tubi on Nov. 1. So, take that, Moriarty.

Thankfully, Tubi isn’t the only way to stream Den of Thieves (although it’s currently the only free streaming site). The film is also available on AMC+, Lionsgate+, YouTubeTV, and Plex.

‘Den of Thieves’ Is a Non-Stop Action Thriller

If you’ve seen Heat then you’ve basically seen Den of Thieves. Gerard Butler plays ‘Big Nick’ O’Brien, who leads an elite unit of LA County sheriff’s deputies who catch bank robbers. In Den of Thieves, Big Nick faces his toughest challenge yet: a well-trained, professional crew planning on breaking into the Federal Reserve Bank. The film also stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber, Mo McRae, Meadow Williams, and Maurice Compte.

The film is an unrelenting thriller, as Big Nick and his team do everything in their power to catch the robbers, even if it means ruining their own personal lives and relationships. Then there’s the action. Pablo Schreiber leads the group of criminals, and the shootouts are genuinely incredible. They’re the reason the whole film works.

‘Den of Thieves’ Is Apparently “Better Than Heat”

Despite being a fan favorite, Den of Thieves was slated by most critics. It holds a poor 42% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Although its audience score is far more positive at 64%. Within that 64%, there are many five-star reviews. Loads of those praise the action and Gerard Butler’s performance. But one RT user has even gone so far as to say, “Den of Thieves is a great movie. Reminds me of Heat, but better.”
